Chris
Krupinski is an accomplished watercolor artist winning more than 100 national
awards and honors in the United States.
She is a signature member of the
American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, the Transparent
Watercolor Society of America, and an elected member of Allied Artists to name
a few.
Chris was invited to participate in the Invitational Exhibition of
Comtemporary International Watermedia Masters in Nanjing China in 2007, 2010,
and 2012. She also had paintings selected for the 2nd Shanghai Zhujiajiao
International Watercolour Biennial Exhibition in 2012 and the Shenzhen
International Watercolor Biennial, China in 2013. Chris was selected as a juror
for the IWS Biennial in Cappadocia, Turkey in 2014.
Chris has
been published in major watercolor publications worldwide and has been a
featured artist in numerous leading national art magazines. She will be a
featured artist in the January 2015 issue of The Artist’s Magazine.
Her
paintings are primarily Still Lifes with the focus on design and color. But,
she creates her paintings with special consideration to detail. The attention
to detail draws the viewer into the intricacies of her work.
Dynamic light and
shadow treatments are prominent statements in her paintings. The play of lights
and darks develop effective abstract design. Emphasizing the visual constrasts
has enabled her to create powerfully expressive Still Lifes and bold
compositions.
