JOCELYNE CHAUVEAU

Jocelyne Chauveau was born in a little city located in the Centre of France. There, she lived in contact with nature durind her childhood, marked by a passion for the arts and for drawing.  She also developed her tastes and her art interests, and Nature still guides her works as a painter today.

She firstly studied classical languages (latin and greek) at university, before turning to Art History and Archeology (with a Master in Contemporary Art in Paris I – Sorbonne), and worked in literature and edition.

In the 1990s, she took up drawing again, and discovered watercolour with some masters  (Cao Bei-An, Roland Palmaerts and Marie-Line Montécot). With passion, softness and poetry, the artist depicts various subjects, from the human figure, portraits and nudes, painted in wet-on-wet, to the abstract landscape. The colours and contrasts create a succession of rythms that suggest, more or less accurately, the essence of her work.

Jocelyne Chauveau is also workshop instructor during art fairs and exhibitions. She has been taking part in many exhibitions in France, Belgium, Swiss, Japan and Canada and has won many awards since the early 2000’s (Fondation Taylor’s member in 2006).

ANGELA BARBI

Angela Barbi was born in Girona, Spain, she also lived for three years in The Netherlands as a child.

From a very young age she started drawing and painting, later on she received tuition in classical drawing and expressionistic painting, followed the anthroposophical school of Rudolf Steiner and Beppe Assenza that follow the theory of colour by Goethe. She recently visited the Goetheannum University in Basel, Switzerland, and was deeply inspired by the Works of art observed and the training offered. She has also followed training with Nicholas Simmons on several occasions. Her style is expressionistic and abstract as she's more interested in the effect and combination of colour than in depicting reality. However she's a great lover of portrait painting too.

For over 25 years she was a teacher at a secondary school, combining the painting with her teaching tasks. During those years she acted as the international coordinator of the EWE Project (European Work Experience Exchange) between Spain and Great Britain, following this activity with groups of Young adults for 8 years with Stockport (Manchester).

At present she manages her own business EPC ART COURSES that organizes watercolour painting holidays in Spain and other countries, tutored by several of the bestrenown watercolourists in the world.

She has exhibited in several collective and individual exhibitions in Spain, France and Turkey, she’s the member of a number of art societies and she has been a juror for the IWS International contests (2013 & 2014), the International Watercolour Society (IWS). She’s now the coordinator of IWS Spain and continues to collaborate with the other IWS delegations worldwide.

ODETTE FELLER SCA

Signature Member of Société Canadienne de l’Aquarelle

Works of Odette Feller are a result of intuitive colours and shapes. The choice of subject comes from her inspiration. From colour association and shapes, Odette Feller gradually gives life to her subject and combines the techniques of positive and negative watercolour techniques.

A new world then appears. After the magic of mixing and mingling different colors on the surface, a kind of "puzzle" is formed by defining shapes and layering contrasts.

The subject is free. Details will complete the picture. The first brushstrokes are left natural, and loose basic washes are kept, but anchored to the forms in the background. Imagination and original style are some features in her semi-abstract compositions.

The artist has participated in numerous exhibitions and symposiums in Europe and the province of Quebec (Canada). She presents workshops (all levels) in Belgium, France and Canada. Her works have been published in many art magazines. In 2009, Odette Feller presented her latest instructional DVD entitled " « Aquarelle: Peindre en Négatif ». She won awards and honors, including the Gold Medal of the Painters of the Century in Arles, France; First Prize in Watercolor in Aiguillon, France and the Jean-Paul Ladouceur Award, Société Canadienne de l’Aquarelle. She is represented in art galleries in Europe and Quebec.
